Improvement works will be taking place shortly along Mindenhurst Road. These works include the final road surfacing, alongside a series of improvements designed to enhance the overall quality, appearance and usability of the road.
As part of the improvement works, the current temporary one-way traffic arrangement will be removed and the road reinstated to two-way traffic. The on-street parking bays introduced as part of the one-way arrangement will also be removed. Prior to these changes taking place, the Church Car Park will be opened to provide additional parking capacity for residents and visitors.
The key elements of the works include:
- Final road surfacing improvements
- Installation of block paving
- Enhanced pedestrian crossing facilities
- Improved road markings to provide clearer and safer pedestrian routes
Together, these improvements will help to create a more intuitive layout for both drivers and pedestrians, supporting smoother movement and a more clearly defined pedestrian environment.
Works will commence on Wednesday 22nd July and are expected to be completed by Monday 3rd September, with working hours between 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. The programme has been scheduled during the school holidays to help reduce disruption as much as possible.
To enable the works to be carried out safely, temporary traffic management will be in place, including a diversion route. Please refer to the map below for full details of the diversion.
We will make every effort to keep disruption to a minimum and to complete the works as efficiently as possible. We appreciate that there may be some inconvenience and thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.
