Taylor Wimpey Joins the Mindenhurst Community
Taylor Wimpey is excited to become part of the beautiful new neighbourhood at Mindenhurst, where they will be delivering 120 high-quality, energy-efficient homes. Of these, 19 will be designated as affordable housing, comprising a mix of 9 affordable rented homes and 10 shared ownership homes.
To meet the demand for a variety of homes suited to different buyers, Taylor Wimpey will be constructing a mix of 2, 3, 4 and 5-bedroom properties. These homes will be thoughtfully arranged to create unique, characterful and visually appealing street scenes, using a varied palette of materials and colours to ensure each street has its own charm.
This parcel of land is centrally located within the Mindenhurst development, positioned between The Frog Pub and village green to the west, and an area of public open space (SANG) to the east.
In addition to the homes, Taylor Wimpey will be providing a range of facilities and amenities for residents, including:
- Parking provisions with EV charging points
- Formal and informal public spaces
- Children’s play facilities
As a national housebuilder with 23 regional offices, Taylor Wimpey specialises in creating high-quality, energy-efficient homes and communities that foster connection and wellbeing. Their approach includes the use of sustainable materials and features wherever possible—from high-performance insulation and triple glazing to energy-efficient appliances.
The homes being delivered at Mindenhurst will exceed the Fabric Energy Efficiency targets outlined in Part L of the Building Regulations. Each plot will also include an integrated wildlife feature, such as a bird box, bat box, bee brick, or sparrow/swift brick, supporting biodiversity across the site.
Through their landscaping approach, Taylor Wimpey is committed to creating spaces that both residents and wildlife can enjoy. Wildlife-friendly planting will offer new habitats for local species, supporting foraging and nesting through fruiting and flowering plants.
