WC 9th October 2023
We have been continuing with the removal of old infrastructure on the southbound side of the road. This includes removing kerbs, tactiles, signage and edging.
WC 18th September 2023
Over the next two weeks we will complete the tree felling along Deepcut Bridge Road. We will then mobilise machinery and begin to remove old infrastructure on the southbound side of the road. This will include removing kerbs, tactiles, signage and edging.
WC 4th September 2023
We are beginning work on site from Monday 4th September. Over the following two weeks we will, set out the site, fence off our working area, put out signage, and close the road to Southbound traffic. We will then begin CBR testing on the road and we will remove some trees along eastern side of the road. As mentioned in our previous update, we are doing this in line with our planning permission and all necessary measures have been taken to protect the local wildlife. Our experienced ecologists from Surrey Wildlife Trust have carried out wildlife surveys and our contractors have been instructed to adhere to strict guidelines during the felling process.
The Church car park will be closed to the public from this date to provide space for construction materials, vehicles, and welfare facilities.
WC 3rd June 2023
We are just beginning our enabling works however you are unlikely to notice much activity for a number of weeks. We will be removing a few trees from the area to the east of the road but we would like to reassure you that we are doing this in line with our planning permission and all necessary measures have been taken to protect the local wildlife. Our experienced ecologists from Surrey Wildlife Trust have carried out wildlife surveys and our contractors have been instructed to adhere to strict guidelines during the felling process.
We are also working with the supply chain to prepare for construction and are finalising the traffic management plan.
